Elizabeth (Betty) Smith – It is with deep sorrow the family announces the passing away of Betty Smith on Tuesday February 2, 2010 at The Kirkland & District Hospital at the age of 72 years, after a courageous battle with Cancer. Betty enjoyed the outdoors; she loved walking, hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends. Betty will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her husband Reginald Smith as well as her three daughters; Rhonda (husband Brian) Driver, Holly (husband Michael) House and Tammy Smith (partner Rick Piché). Fondly remembered by her much loved grandchildren Amber, Jordan Driver, Dean and Adam House. Betty will be missed by her siblings Margaret Swakhammer, George Etches and Ronnie Etches. As per wishes no funeral services will be held. Donations in memory of Betty may be made to the House of Kin (1889 Regent Street, Sudbury, ON " P3E 3Z7) or The Daffodil Lodge (41 Ramsey Lake Road, Sudbury, ON " P3E 3Z7). My mom gave everything to her family-love and support-she taught me responsibility, love,kindness and laughter. My mom fought hard—everything will always remind me of her and the great times we had toghter-life will never be the same without mom’s love and laughter–miss you lots and think of you daily-everyone who knew her will miss her-mom you will always be with me
