ROGERS, Bernice Irene

Bernice Irene Rogers, Sullivan, Fisher, Tugwell peacefully at Temiskaming Lodge January 27, 2017. Born August 21, 1921 in Veteran Alberta to Harris Tugwell and Irene Tugwell (Sawyer). Predeceased by both parents, husband David Henry Sullivan (1964), son David John Sullivan (2014) and brother Stirling Tugwell. Survived by sister Fae Spencer(Alfred), children Tom Fisher (Judith Visser), Robert Sullivan (Patricia), and Jane Sullivan, 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Bernice moved with her family to New Liskeard in 1928 and lived there most of her life. She volunteered many years with the UCW and United Church and community choirs.Trained as a nurse, she had many jobs including homemaker and mother and small business owner. With a wonderful sense of humor, she enjoyed time at the cottage with friends and family, bridge club and many other social events. Visitation will take place February 2, 2017 from 10 am to 12 pm. at St Paul's United church with service at 2 p.m. If desired donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
