In 1995 Rick, myself, and daughter Michelle went up North from Nova Scotia to visit Rick’s family and Rick’s ailing father. It was my first time meeting my new inlaws as I was ( new ) to the family. When I met Jim and Jean I was nervous but Jean made me feel like I was in the family forever. I am also 19 yrs younger than Rick so I was pretty much a kid to these guys..lol Jean was so kind to myself and my daughter and I remember telling her a story about how I loved fresh cow’s milk when I was a kid visiting my grandma and how she would make the cream from the milk. When we got up the next morning Jean told me she had something for me…..in the kitchen….she had gotten up early and went to a friends farm and got fresh cow’s milk for me and had boiled it and taken the cream off the top of it for me. This was how kind and generous Jean was.I have told this story so many times. Jean was a great cook, a great lady, and a great sister n law. We will miss her. Rest in Peace Jean, and every time I see a cow I think of you .
