It is with sorrow that the family of Mr. Arthur Turner announces his passing at Teck Pioneer Residence on Friday, July 22, 2011 at the age of 94 years. Art was an employee of Ontario Northland Railway for more than 46 years. He was employed as a Morse telegrapher and Station agent. Art worked and lived in many communities between North Bay and Moosonee and retired in Swastika. He was a member of Trinity United Church, The Masonic Lodge and the Curling Club. Art leaves to mourn his wife Vicki; son Terrence (Judy); grandson Todd (Michelle) and great granddaughters Eden and Ellery; grandson Brent (Cassandra) and great granddaughter Grace. As per Art’s request, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of His Life and Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel at Teck Pioneer Residence on Thursday, July 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a time of fellowship. Art will be laid to rest in the Kirkland Lake Cemetery. Donations in Art’s memory may be made to the Teck Pioneer Residence – Activity Fund (P.O. Box 3800 Kirkland Lake, ON.
