Mr. Arthur “Art” Menard passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Kirkland & District Hospital on Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at the age of 78 years. He was predeceased by his spouse Tina; son Robert and siblings Viola Yade, Leo Menard, Laurette Lafleur and Claudette Miele. Art is survived by his children Dan (Karon) Menard, Bonnie Menard (Wayne Stokes), Steven (Joan) Menard, Gary Menard and Alice (Dave) Cummings; grandchildren Kellie and Tessa Menard, Emily Powell, Earl Stokes and Hope Christina Menard and great granddaughter Ruby Barnett. He is also survived by his siblings Gloria Greenall, Terri Playford, Jeannette Ireland, Rene Menard, Cecile St. Cyr, Georgette Belanger, George Menard and Richard Menard. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Monette & French Funeral Home on Friday, July 4, 2008 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Name of Jesus Parish on Saturday, July 5, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Art will be laid to rest next to his spouse in the Kirkland Lake Cemetery. Donations in Art’s memory may be made to the Kirkland & District Hospital Foundation (P.O. Box 3000 Kirkland Lake, ON. P2N 3P4).Offer Condolence for the family of Arthur Menard

Our deepest condolences..We will miss Art’s kindness, friendliness and wit…When cleaning my upper floor windows, I will always remember him hollering up at me “Don’t jump..It’s not worth it!”…Very very sorry to hear…Ken and Deb Kelly…
