I was only 6 years old when last I saw her, but the kind manner and warm smile of “Mrs. Oehring across the street” have remained an important part of my early memories. The world is poorer for her leaving – heaven is richer for her arriving. She was a good woman. My sincere sympathies to her family. Kate O’Neil

Dear Grandma, I’ll treasure the time I spent with you always. I’ll miss your laugh, your smile, your cat and raccoon stories. I’ll miss seeing you at the window as we drive up to the house. You never said as much, but I always knew you worried when any of us were on the road. I’ll miss your turkey dinners, your butter tarts and sitting with you at breakfast over a cup of coffee. I’ll miss listening to you tell me stories of when you were young. But most of all, I’ll miss you Grandma; one of the strongest and smartest people I’ve ever known. Love you, Magda

Dear Pete & Family: Sorry to hear about the loss of your Mom. I remember meeting your Mom when Ken & I came to V-Town to visit Phil. Take care of yourself. Jan Drummond

Jan Drummond, March 1, 2021

Mom, you were the best!. I will miss you so much! You loved us all unconditionally. You cared for us without caring for yourself. You nutured us, you cleaned our boo boos and you fed us and kept us warm and safe. You let us fly and explore the world, even though you were terrified, that we would fall down again, like little toddlers. Mom, I love you! I hope you and Dad, Grandma and Grandpa and Phil are all having a great time wherever you are. And tell Auntie Guinn I love her too.

Susan, March 1, 2021

Dear Grandma, How you will be missed!! I won’t ever forget that heartfelt laugh of yours, your funny stories, the advice to those of us with young children. Your smile welcomed us at every visit and I’ll miss you asking, “What’s happening?! Is Timmins still booming?!” You will live forever in our hearts and memories of course but I can’t think of one of us who doesn’t say, “Well blow me down!” or “Go on!” in our everyday conversations….that is how you will live forever through us, your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. We love you very much Grandma and I’m happy to have known you. Love, Kristen, Dominic, Pari & Cole xoxo

Mrs. Oehring….it has been many many years since last I saw you but I do remember you as being a very lovely lady with an extremely kind heart. I am sorry that I didn’t have a visit with you this past August at the V-town reunion. Your family was lucky to have you in their lives for as long as they did. Rest in Peace.
