Viola McLean (nee Mitchell) passed away August 8th, 2010 at the Englehart & District Hospital. Viola was born in Tomstown on January 27th, 1919 to Phoebe (nee Sherwood) and John (Jack) Mitchell. She co- owned and operated a general store, school bus line and a farm equipment dealership with her husband Eddie in Tomstown and also had a position as cook at the Englehart and District Hospital. Foremost, Viola was always there for family and friends in need. She is survived by her daughter Katherine Nychuk, son Bryan (Carol) McLean, daughter Gwen (Steve) Pollock; grandchildren Jodie (Scott) Farmer, Steven (Jennifer) Nychuk, Trudy (Shane) Lacarte, J (Anny) Pollock, Alex Pollock, Stephen (Lesley) Pollock; great grandchildren Zac and Tate Farmer, Nate Nychuk, Shayna, A.J and Paige Lacarte, Ty and Cole Pollock, Kate and Hannah Wylie, Jack and Charley Pollock.
