It is with sadness that the family of Mr. Andrew Jackson announces his sudden passing at the Kirkland & District Hospital on September 17, 2015. Andrew is survived by his daughters Janice (John) Sullivan, Diane (Bernie) Labine. Also survived by his grandchildren who meant the world to him; Krista Labine (Charles Rousselle), Colin Bradley (Mandy Burns), Leah Bradley, Colina (Martin) Boileau, Richard Labine, Keegan Sullivan (Meghan McPhee), Anita Labine, Joseph Labine, Ethan Labine (Marie Allaire) and Liam Sullivan. Also survived by his sisters Thelma Taylor and Jean Rivard; many cherished in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife and soul mate of 54 years Joan Jackson (née Craig); parents Ida & John Jackson and brothers Reg, Calvin, Donald, Harold & Gordon. As a young man he served in the Navy stationed out of Halifax, Nova Scotia. When he moved to Kirkland Lake with his family he started on at the Adams Mine as a millwright and member of the Steelworkers. He was a proud member of the Legion. He retired from the Town of Kirkland Lake where he was a Sub-Foreman in the Works department. He enjoyed his retirement spending lots of time with his family, camping and travelling. The family will welcome friends at the FRENCH FAMILY FUNERAL HOME (111 Burnside Drive, Kirkland Lake, ON P2N 3L1) on Sunday, September 20, 2015 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held from the Chapel of the funeral home on Monday, September 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. All are welcome to join the family following the service in the French Family Reception Centre.Offer Condolence for the family of Andrew Jackson
