MCLELLAN, Allen
Allen John McLellan It is with deep sadness that the family announces the death of Allen John McLellan on January 21, 2012 at the age of 87 at the Kirkland and District Hospital with his family at his side. Allen was born in North Cobalt on June 10, 1924 the eldest child of Mable (Dunn) and John Archibald McLellan. Allen was predeceased by his brother-in-law William Burke and son-in-law Walter Hoehle. He worked at Hill Clark and Francis and Rexwood for 42 years and was caretaker of St. Paul's United Church Allen was a very devoted family man who loved to garden, walking his dog Sophie, and going for Sunday drives with Jean. He also looked forward to having his children come home and friends dropping by. Allen McLellan is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Jean Lillian (nee Badgley), Loving father of Darleen Hoehle (Eric) of Kirkland Lake, Stuart McLellan (Diana) of New Liskeard, Kim McLellan (Holly) and Don McLellan (Kathryn) both of Calgary AB. Gloria Kesseler (Rob) of Beaumont AB. Grandfather of Stephen Hoehle (Kelly), Bernie Hoehle (Wendy), Jeffrey Hoehle, Peter Berethelette (Jody), Lisa Wilson (Dave), Katelyn McLellan, Mikayla, Derek, and Rylee Kesseler, and Mereidth McLellan. Great grandfather of Zachary, Jordyn, Nicholas, Jordan, Karisa, Mackenzie, Connor, Tyler and Sydney. Also left to mourn are his sisters Joan Burke, and Jean Delgreco (Marcelo) and brother Joseph McLellan (Myrna) and many Nieces and Nephews. The family will receive friends at the Perrin Funeral Chapel 128 Whitewood Ave. New Liskeard on Wednesday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral services will follow in the chapel at 7 p.m. Rev. George Paraskevopoulos officiating. If desired donations may be made to St. Paul's United Church.
