In loving memory of Alice M Jibb (Sherritt)who passed away in her 98th year at New Liskeard. Alice was born September 4, 1918 the youngest daughter of Archibald and Carolyn Sherritt. She married Joe Jibb on June 16, 1937. Predeceased by husband Joe in 2006 and survived by son Melville and wife Theresa of Englehart and daughter Carol and husband George Clay of Whitby. Missed by grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Brent and Karen Jibb, Quincy and Kellen of Peterborough, Angela and Donald Parker, Cody (Amy) and Jacey of Englehart, Adam and Kathleen Clay, Margaret, Keiren, Alice and Lars and Amanda Clay, Madden and Lincoln all of Bowmanville. Alice worked beside her husband on their farm in Kerns for many years. She enjoyed gardening, dancing and playing cards for recreation. They retired to New Liskeard in 1979. In their retirement they traveled extensively throughout Canada, the United States and various island retreats. She continued her love of dancing, quilting, knitting, crocheting and playing cards. These hobbies continued after Joe's death when she moved into the retirement home. She had wonderful friends from the country, caring friends on Elm Street who kept in touch, and the 'ladies' at the retirement home who kept her young until the end. The family is extremely thankful to Maurice and Iris, Marg, Claire, Doris, Arvilla, Jean, Terry and Laura Hobbs for their ongoing friendship and generosity. There will be no funeral as per Alice's request.
