Passed away suddenly on October 12, 2022, at Blanche River Health at the age of 85, loving husband of 59 years to Raymonde (nee Gervais). Devoted and proud father to Corie-Lee (Luc Chabot) and Kevin Fong. Beloved grandpa to Britney (Ben) Arbique, Alyssa Fong (Jessy), Nicholas Fong, and Poppa to Michael and Lydia Arbique.
Son of Catherine and Yuen (both predeceased) and dear brother to Clyde Fong, Sue (Bill) Needham (both predeceased), Sheila (Sydney) Palmer, Barry (Denise) Fong, Ian (Stephanie) Fong, Arthur (Rose) Fong, Stuart (Debbie) Fong, Holly Walton, Heather (Ray) Gordon, Victoria (Harvey) Cadieux (both predeceased) and Florence Brown (predeceased).
He will be sadly missed by his in-laws, Liliane (Edward predeceased) Ziliotto, Denise (Cleo) Paradis, Robert (Carolyn) Gervais, Richard (Judy) Gervais, Ronald (Wendy) Gervais, and Gord (Michelle predeceased) Jenkinson and his many nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of Al's life will take place at a later date. Donations, in lieu of flowers, in his memory, can be made to the Blanche River Health Foundation.

My first memory of Al was at the golf club when I first took up the sport. He was so kind, considerate and fair. He looked at the bigger picture rather than the short term when it came to new golfers ….. I’ve never forgot his generosity.

Ray, please accept my most sincere condolences. The Second and Third St. laneway is changing too quickly; really, it is a community within a community. I used to meet Al frequently as he and I went to the store to pick up our newspapers at the same time. Al was always a gentle man with a sincere smile on his face.

During my mining career spanning 34 years I never worked with a guy whom I enjoyed working with more. At any of the jobs where I was in c harge of the Engineering department, I often thought " how would Al do this"
I extend with my wife Billie-Jean our most sincere condolences. A good man had gone. I will always remember working with Al at the MaCassa mine 1974 to 1977.
