Aili Rosicki passed away on Friday, February 27, 2009 at the Teck Pioneer Residence at the age of 73 years. Aili was born on January 13, 1936 and was a life long resident of Kirkland Lake. She was extremely proud of her Finnish heritage and was a member of the Finnish Lutheran Church. Aili enjoyed the spending time outdoors blueberry picking, drives in the country and spending quality time with her late husband Arnold. She always remained proud of her sons whom she adored and her feline companions later in life. A few of her interests included sewing and reading. She will be dearly missed by her family, many old and dear friends and everyone that knew her. Aili was predeceased by her husband Arnold; parents Arne and Ida Hanalainen; sister Annie Hanalainen and brothers John and Sulo Hanalainen. She is survived by her sons Brian and his wife Diane of Matheson and Bob and his wife Tina of Kirkland Lake; daughter Judy and husband Ed of Kirkland Lake; grandchildren Arla, Dillon, Andrew, Samantha and Erica. The family will receive friends at the Monette & French Funeral Home on Monday, March 2, 2009 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held from the “Teck-Hughes” Chapel of the Monette & French Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. Aili will be laid to rest in the Kirkland Lake Cemetery.
