BURANT, Ada

1937 - 2024

Ada Alice Cecilia (Harrington) Burant, born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, February 12,1937 and passed away peacefully in her sleep November 11, 2024 at Extendicare in Kirkland Lake.   She lived in Kirkland Lake most of her life married Edward (Eddy) Lauzon, they raised their four children Donna, Susie, Kenny and David.  Ada raised her 4 children mostly on her own since Eddy was a diamond driller and worked away for months at a time.  In 1963 Eddy had the opportunity to work in Ireland and Ada flew to Ireland with her kids.  They lived in Ireland for over a year. Ada had the opportunity to meet some of her Irish family that year.  What a great experience! Edward passed away in 1985 and Ada spent many years alone until she met her second husband Robert (Bob) Pekola who a friend introduced her to.  They married and had a wonderful and loving life together.  Although it only lasted about five years, Bob treated Ada like a queen.  The queen had a great sense of style and loved shopping for clothes, shoes and purses.  After Bob passed away Ada again spent years alone then met Earl Burant who became her third and final husband.  Earl and Ada spent many happy years together until her passing.  Earl also treated her like a queen her life was wonderful. She never left the house without making sure her hair and makeup were done.  Ada always looked classy and made sure her men looked good and treated them well.  Ada is predeceased by her parents Patrick Harrington and Ada Harrington (Hodges) both born in Ireland, her first husband Edward Lauzon,  her second husband Bob Pekola her sisters Mary Josephine Harrington, Betty Dolotowicz, Patricia Burns, Judy Hayes, her brothers Francis Harrington, Patrick Harrington, William (Whiskey) Harrington and Jimmy Harrington,  she is also predeceased by her two sons Kenny Lauzon and David Lauzon (Rebecca) her granddaughter Kerry Ducharme and son in law Gary Webber.   Ada is survived by her husband Earl Burant, daughters Donna Jack (Randy) and Susan Webber Richter (Harald) she also leaves behind her grandchildren Kenny Ducharme, Brian Webber, Mark Webber, Edward Lauzon, Jesi Watts, Mitchell Lauzon and Brady Lauzon her great grandchildren Kurtis Dumas Ducharme, Kirsten Dumas Ducharme, Austin Webber, Wyatt Dube, Marlee Webber, Mark Jr. Webber, Kingstan Webber, Weston Webber and great great grandchildren Oaklen Thiessen, Lennon Thiessen, Carter Thiessen.  Ada is also survived by her brother Dwight Harrington (Victoria), sisters Lucy Lesperance and Shirley Emery.  Ada had numerous nieces and nephews many of whom consider her their favorite aunt. Ada was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was thoughtful, vivacious, kind and caring. She also had an Irish temper, was a tough little cookie and had no problem speaking her mind.  The family would like to express their gratitude to all the staff, Doctors, nurses, PSWs at Extendicare in Kirkland Lake for the wonderful care they gave to mom during her stay.  Thank you so very much.  There will be no service at this time.   Ada is being cremated and we will have a celebration of life with family at a later date.
