ANDERSON, Wilford ` Buck `
Wilford ` Buck ` Anderson died on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre at the age of 87. He is survived by he leaves his wife Norma, his step children Alexis Waldriff (Bob), Doug Howie (Heather), Brent Howie (Maureen) and his sister Marian Armstrong of Brampton ON. He was pre-deceased by his stepson Gordon Howie (Lucy). He also leaves many grandchildren; Todd (Terry), Tina (Ray), Kim (Chris), Erin (Derrick), Mathew (Trista), Blake, Katie, Scott (Joedy), Jonathen, Rainelle (Hasan), Thomas, Shaun and Steve and by many great grandchildren. Buck was raised in Brampton, and as a young man worked in orchid greenhouses and a grist mill before Brampton was a city. He later worked on security at Peel Manor from where he retired, March 1993. Buck and Norma enjoyed travelling, camping and he enjoyed fishing. He spent many an hour on leather crafts as a hobby. He also enjoyed card games especially Euchre. Despite being blind, he often did his own home repairs and still was able to give advice to others when needed. He continued to drive a scooter to maintain his independence. When playing Euchre he could hold his own with the best of them. Following Buck`s wishes, he was cremated and there will be no visitation or service at this time.
