My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time! Jessie and I would have the greatest little chats every wednesday, I will miss them very much. She was a wonderful lady, and I’m going to miss her.

It is with deep sadness that we announce Jessie’s passing at the Kirkland & District Hospital on Thursday, February 23, 2012. Jessie was predeceased by her parents Jack and Ivy (née Wheeler) Crawford; her first husband Stanley Matthews in 1966; her second husband Gordon Fisher in 1985; her brothers Guy (June) Crawford, Roy Charles Crawford; her sister Audrey (Jack) Rogers as well as her son Stanley Robert Matthews. She is survived and lovingly remembered by her children Pat (Claire) Matthews, Cliff (Linda) Matthews; her daughter-in-law Helen Matthews and her sister Viola Maycock. Dearly missed by her grandchildren Laurie (Chris) Smith, Sheri Matthews, Michael (Nancy) Matthews, Stacey Matthews, Kimberley (Kevin) Toombs and her precious great grandson Jesse as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family will welcome friends at the MONETTE & FRENCH FUNERAL HOME (450 Government Road West, Kirkland Lake, ON., P2N 3L1) on Monday, February 27, 2012 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 from the “Teck-Hughes Chapel” of the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Rob Slote officiating. Jessie will be laid to rest in the Kirkland Lake Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jessie’s memory may be made to the Kirkland & District Hospital Foundation (145 Government Road East, P.O.
