God Bless you Aunt Rose! So many found memories of coming up to Kirkland Lake from Guelph, Ontario to see you… Uncle Tony and the family. My father was Edward Welsh (“Tubby”). You helped raise my dad. He gave me my middle name (Anthony) in respect to Uncle Tony. Will miss you! Sincerely Yours, Blair Anthony Welsh

There are so many memories Nanny brought us all together for Sunday Spaghetti dinner. I remember nanny getting mad at us if we would take too much sauce before the spaghetti was ready lol. I remember the gumball races us kids would have on her kitchen table because the house was old and a little slanted. Nanny would always tape us kids jenny jones, maury povich, and the simpsons so we could watch it when we came over either after school or at night for a visit. A little poem i found she would want for us all: “Smile, open your eyes, love and go on” You can shed tears that I’ve gone or you can smile because I’ve lived. You can close your eyes and pray that I’ll come back or you can open your eyes and see all I’ve left. Your heart can be empty because you can’t see me or you can be full of the love we shared. You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. You can remember me and only that I’ve gone or you can cherish my memory and let it live on. You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back or you can do what I’d want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on. Nanny I love you. Love Melissa Gignac (Antoniazzi)

It is always hard to lose one’s mother..NO matter how old. Our hearts go out to all of you…as a kid I grew up with your family at Round Lake, and in later years, grew old with Rose at Teck Pioneer …many good memories of Rose and of course Tony…and now they will meet again, along with Gambee, making their famous Spagetti Sauce on Sunday. Remember all those fond memories.

A mother is the glue that holds a family together, as Rose was her entire life. My condolences on her passing and may the Angels help you all through your grief. My wish is for the family to comfort each other with the same love and strength that Rose showed each of you in your lives.

On behalf of the Murray family I extend our condolences to the Antoniazzi family. I sure hope that someone has written down Rose’s spaghetti sauce recipe. It was the best. Remembering good times at Round Lake with fondness. Lynn Elliott.
