In loving memory of Mr. Robert ' Bob ' Green who passed away at Englehart & District Hospital, on Friday, December 07, 2018 at the age of 77. Bob was born in Larder Lake on March 11, 1941 to the late Harold (Tom) Green & Enid (nee Bowes). He worked on the Ontario Northland Railway for 39 years. He started as a call boy in 1957 then was hired on to the train crew in 1959 and retired as a Conductor in 1996. He was a former member of the Charlton-Englehart Lions club-past president; and he earned the 'Helen Keller Fellowship' award for outstanding efforts in June 1997. Bob enjoyed many years as a cottager and home owner on Long Lake. He loved 'floatboating'. He loved his Saturday 4-wheeler rides with his 2 brother in laws Jake Armstrong & John Emrick and his Saturday night hockey games (Bob was a loyal Boston Bruin fan). But Bob loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Pre-deceased by his parents Harold (Tom) Green & Enid (nee Bowes); brother Cliff Bowes and sisters Irene Johnson and Jean Myers. He is survived by his wife Norma, son Tom Green (Tara Laframboise) and his grandchildren Edward & Charlotte Green. In keeping with Bob's wishes, there is no visitation or service at this time, cremation has taken place.
