I really wish I could be there to celebrate Pepère’s life with everyone. I have nothing but fond memories of my grandfather. I remember sitting on his lap, reading with him after school when he lived on Duncan. I also remember trying to slap his hands and he would always take them away quickly. I remember playing Rummy with him in Swastika. I really do think he cheated, but is was always fun anyway. I have fond memories of eating Memère’s cake with him at the kitchen table. I will always giggle when I think of myself giggling the skin under his chin. OH!!! Le Canif! I will miss Pepère, but I am comforted by the wonderful memories of him I will always carry in my heart.
