My sister Paula, who just passed away on September 23rd, was a good friend of Carol for many years. Carol enjoyed going to the Encore Club with Keith to listen to him singing karaoke as well as other singers, including Paula. Rest in peace Carol.
We pray for strength and healing as you grieve the loss of your mom. She will live on forever through you, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sending hugs and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear this news. I last saw your Mom when she was serving ice cream to the residents at Extendicare a few years back now. She told me about her grandchildren and how happy she was to be a Grandmother and was so proud of her children. Please take care at this very difficult time. Please accept my sincere condolences at the loss of your matriarch, my Aunt Carol. Extended families grow apart over the years, so my memories are not very recent. It has been a while since I visited with Aunt Carol and I wish I could say otherwise.
However, I will always remember her as a force to be reckoned with ... strong, assertive and fiercely protective of her children.

I entered NCAAT college at age: 40 with a 7yr old child, as a lone mom on disability. I was shy, terrified, ashamed. Carol put me at ease. She inspired me by telling me I inspired 2 age genres: youth, middle age.. by never giving up, by trying twice as hard, longer. I graduated just shy of turning age: 43. I accomplished so much.. gradiated with high honors, made the Dean List, and won a $10k Bursary. I had to prove Carol right. I had to show her.. that her confidence in me, her encouragement.. became pillars of strength for me. Until my last breath, I will remember Carol for giving me my wings to fly.. because she believed in me. Donna S.
