I think of the times we spent together, playing cards, having breakfast, playing games, staying over in the Blue Room, being with you and sharing so much time together. You are always in my thoughts and mind. I shed a tear at times thinking of you and my Dad and Uncle Don and Pattie, and all those who have left this earth. I hope you are laughing and having fun with everyone. If I ever did anything that might of hurt you I hope you have forgiven me…I love you Aunt Stella and think of you often…with fond memories of my second Mom…you are always in my heart….RIP….

It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Stella (née Betti), at Extendicare on November 7, 2007 surrounded by the staff whom she loved and whom loved her. Born in Cobalt on March 4, 1924, she moved to Kirkland Lake as a young girl. Mom worked at K.D.H. for many years. Married and raised her family here. She was always known for her open door policy, friends knew they were welcome day or night for a meal, a game of cards or a place to sleep. Mom was even known to bring a stranger or two that had no where else to go. Some of them are still a part of our lives. She is predeceased by her father Hector Betti, step father Dawson Hoadley, mother Sylvia (née Fraboni), brother Art Betti, sister Leona Lapierre, son Donny and her husband Donald McDougall. She leaves behind to remember and miss her; sisters Agnes Evans and Elsie Reder; brothers Carl and Ron Betti; beloved children Donald, Betti (Wilf Gratton), Art (Shauna), Kevin (Kim), Kim (Gregg); grandchildren Raymond, Cory, Tammy, Buz, Stephane, Sierra, Dawson, Avery, Dalton, Shauna and Tarisha; 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. Also her closest and dearest friends Fern & Ted Downey, Shelley, Stan, Billy, Bunny and Fran. A celebration of her life will be held at 77 Taylor Avenue on Saturday, November 10, 2007 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. for her close friends and family.
