Mrs. Maria Kalnins passed away at Extendicare Kirkland Lake on Friday, March 28, 2014 at the age of 87. Maria was predeceased by her husband Edgar and family in her native Latvia. She is survived by her children Dan “Ed” (Marny) Kalnins and Linda (Andre) Roy; grandchildren Joe (Sarah), Amy, Kim (Tom), Patrick, Nicholas & Julia and great granddaughters Gabrielle, Sierra and Alexis. The family will receive relatives & friends at the French Family Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Maria will be laid to rest in the Kirkland Lake Cemetery. Donations in Maria’s memory may be made to the Extendicare Activities Fund (P.O. Box 3900 Kirkland Lake, Ontario P2N 3P4).
