In loving memory of Mr. Logan Wood who passed away at Northview Nursing Home, Englehart, on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at the age of 93. Pre-deceased by wife Ellen Peever & his daughter Jean LaCarte. He is survived by sons Robert & his wife Lynda, Rodney & his wife Wendy and 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Logan had a busy life providing for his family. He was the youngest of his family of 3 sisters and 3 brothers that were raised on a farm towards Kap-Kig-A-Wan. He was a dragline operator for various construction companies in the area, taxi operator which led to school bus business. He found time to coach women's softball team and do some hockey coaching in his younger days. He became an icon at the Englehart Arena by being caretaker for years and was caretaker of Lee swimming pool in the summer time. He received full time employment as town foreman for Englehart until his retirement. He enjoyed his retirement time just by staying around town, sitting in the shade by the garage and giving a wave to people passing by. In keeping with Logan's wishes, cremation has taken place and there's no visitation or service at this time. Thanks to the medical staff at the Englehart & District Hospital. Also, to the working and medical staff at the Northview Nursing Home. You did your best trying to keep your patients occupied during this troubled and restrictive time of Covid-19.
