My dear Linda McLaughlin, Please know my heart & prayers are with you and your Family at this time, now and always. We will miss Kathy, but only for a little while. Jehovah God will let her take her rest. And when we see her again she’ll be anew. God will wipe out every tire from our eye and death will be no more. God promisses this, and he dose not lie. Zimmer, Kathleen Joan – passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at the Kirkland & District Hospital, at the age of 45. Kathy was predeceased by her: father, Larry Zimmer; brother, Gordon Jocko; and grandfather, Harold Hosken. She will be lovingly remembered by her: mother, Linda McLaughlin; Brother, Alex McLaughlin; and grandmother, Millie Hosken. Kathy will also be dearly missed by her second mother, Connie Cook. Kathy lived at the Third Street Residence because of rett syndrome. It was only because of the kindness and support Kathy received from her friends at The Third Street Residence that she was able to live a fulfilling life. She was an individual who liked her own space. Kathy seldom complained about the complication rett syndrome caused on the quality of her life. Even to the end, Kathy was extremely loyal to her friends and knew how to laugh. A memorial service celebrating Kathy’s life will be held on Friday, November 16, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses (1150 Government Road West, Kirkland Lake, ON). A reception will follow at the Community Living Skills Building (4 Tweedsmuir Road).
