Her grandchildren were her greatest joy. She was very active in the Good Shepherd Congregational Church and her community. At home she enjoyed gardening, baking, canning, quilting and sewing. Mrs. Rodgers is survived by her children Shelva, Valerie (Mike), Ron (Joyce), Richard (Darlene) and Raymond (Michelle); grandchildren Andrea, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Andrew, Leisa, Melissa, Stephen, Anna, Leaman, Sarah, Jonathan, Dayna, Zachary and Mackenzie; and great-grandchildren Jake, Josh, J-Jay and Leanna. She was predeceased by her husband Alden, parents Annie and Herman Devries, siblings Mina, Katie, Nellie, Sye, Con, Cecil and Herman. The funeral was arranged by McDonald Funeral Home with the service conducted April 9 by Pastor Steve Crosby at the Good Shepherd Congregational Church. Pallbearers were her grandchildren. Burial is at the Charlton Cemetery.
