1952 - 2023
Sadly, on April 23, 2023, Jean-Guy Bourgeois (Sesekinika) at the age of 70 passed away at home after a difficult battle with cancer.
Mr. Jean-Guy Bourgeois was born on July 2, 1952, son of the late Mr. Albert Bourgeois and the late Mrs. Aurella Lacoursiere.
Mr. Bourgeois is survived by his spouse Marie-Claude Patry, his children Luc Bourgeois, Lina Bourgeois, Maxime Gauthier (Kim) & Mathias Gauthier; his grandchildren: Cole Bourgeois, Elli Bourgeois, Sophie Bourgeois, Abigail Gauthier, Lincoln Gauthier & Aubrey Gauthier; his brothers and sisters: late Denis, Rachel, (late Brian)
Claudette (Raymond), Simone (late Mario), Denise (Dave), George (Georgette), Suzanne (late Réjean) & Ghislaine; and his brother-in-law;Steve Leblanc (Pamela); his nephews and nieces as well as many relatives and friends.
Jean-Guy enjoyed his career as a woodcutter operator in his company shared with his brothers, Denis and George for many years. He also enjoyed his days spent at his camp which brought many smiles and good conversations around the campfires, forgetting the pleasure he had in feeding his squirrels.
The family would like to thank the CSCT workers and the VON group for their support and the good care provided.
Mr. Bourgeois will be on display at the Timiskaming Funeral Home – French Family Chapel (111 Burnside Drive, Kirkland Lake, Ontario) on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm for visitation and funeral will be held after at 2:00 p.m.
Funeral will take place on Wednesday 26, 2023 at 2 pm at the Chapel of the Funeral Home.
