It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Henry on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at the age of 89 years. Henry was born on September 4, 1930 in Earlton to the late Arthur and Zenaide (Bastarache) Milot. Henry will forever be loved by his wife Marie-Paule (Loranger) of 70 years. Forever remembered and cherished by his children: Johanne (Rejean), Diane (Reg), Gisele (Gilles) and Larry (Doris) and 8 grandchildren: Alain Blais, Jamie Piette (Celeste), Eric Gingras (Amanda), Danielle Gauthier (Sylvain Bergeron), Josee Benoit (Eric), Pierre Gauthier, Patrick Milot (Danika) and Zachary Milot and 9 great grandchildren. Also leaving behind many nieces and nephews and friends. Predeceased by two grandsons, Josua Milot and Patrick Gauthier and one granddaughter, Trishia Lee Gingras and one great great grandson Gabriel Benoit. Dear brother to the late Aldea, Leon, Willie, sister Clara, Isacor, Delia, Robert, Lionel, Marie-Ange, Alice and brother-in-law to the late Roger, Adrien and Jules. He also leaves behind his sister-in-laws Jeanne d'Arc Perron, Therese Loranger, Rita Rivard and Mary Loranger-Sowinsky. Henry started working at a very young age. He worked on the family farm, also worked for Ontario Hydro eventually started his own business as Henry Milot Trucking. He was an excellent heavy equipment operator and was known to have the magic touch on the backhoe and on the grader. Henry's love for his wife and family was his priority in life. He loved the outdoors, spending time at the cottage in Gowganda, going fishing, hunting, four wheeling and relaxing bu enjoying the sunset over the lake. There were numerous gathering of family and friends while enjoying a nice cold beer. Henry also enjoyed a good game of cards but never enjoyed losing. His empathy, his humour, his desire to help others and the love that he showed to those he cared for, lit up people's lives. It is for those reasons that we wish to thank him for everything. Our adventure here continues but his new one is just beginning. Cremation has taken place at Lakeview Crematorium, Haileybury. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
