It is with profound sadness that the family announces her passing at Extendicare Kirkland Lake on Thursday, May 12, 2011. Helen was predeceased by her parents Walter and Lottee (née Napper) ; her sisters Evelyn Lawrence and Phyllis Cummings. Helen is dearly missed by her beloved husband Allan; her children Bruce (Lina) and Philip (Brenda); her grandchildren Russell, Clifford, Wesley, Jeffrey and Kevin; her great grandchildren Mattawa and Elizabeth Lawrence; her sister Caroline (George) Karalash and her brother Carl (Pat) Mertes both of Sault Ste. Marie as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from the “Teck-Hughes” Chapel of the funeral home with Harvey Delport officiating.
