Georgette Sabourin (Georgia) was born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario in 1947. She passed away at on April 21,2023 with her loved ones by her side. She had a battle with cancer for the past two years.

She was the oldest of four kids. She is survived by her brother Jerry (Judy),brother Rolly, sister Colleen Gill(George) nephew Georgie Jr. Gill(Sarah), niece Corrine Gill (Dustin), Kayla and Kyle Sabourin, great nephews and niece, Georgie, Maverick, Saraya.

Georgette was a great advocate for women throughout her life. She loved her family and close friends dearly. She Cherished her time spent traveling In her younger years .She started her career in Ottawa then she relocated to timmins to work as an administrator at the Timmins Crisis Center for 20 years. She retired in her home town Kirkland lake. Georgette wanted to share this: Audrey lord poet visionary ”When I dare to be powerful, to use my strength in the service of my vision, then it becomes less and less important whether I am afraid.”.

Georgette will be missed dearly. Any donations can be sent to women's crisis centers in ontario in her memory.
