1954 - 2022
PORTER, George David – It is with great sadness that we announce George’s sudden passing at the age of 67 at Blanche River Health – Kirkland Lake Site, on February 12, 2022, with his family at his side.
George leaves his wife Bonnie (nee Freeborn) Porter of 30 years and their daughter Kaitlyn of London. He also leaves his daughters April of Elliot Lake (daughter, Rian) and Amanda of St. Catherine’s (sons, Luke and Dayne) as well as their mother Sue of Elliot Lake.
George also leaves to mourn his brother Garry (Debbie), their children Shawn and Natasha, his sister Joanne and her daughters Tina and Melissa of Kirkland Lake; his stepfather-in-law Art McNally and his brother-in-law Ron Freeborn both of Meaford and countless aunts, uncles, and cousins.
George is predeceased by his parents Leonard and Simone (Dumas) Porter and his in-laws Willis and Jean Freeborn McNally and aunts and uncles.
The family would like to thank Drs. Jefremova, Estrada, and his nurse Alyssa for providing comfort to George during his stay at the hospital.
In keeping with George’s wishes, there will be no service. Cremation has taken place. Donations in George’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
