Pietrasik, Elli (nee Schlaudraff) On Tuesday, June 8, 2010 in her 86th year, Elli passed away peacefully at the Kirkland & District Hospital. Born on December 5, 1924 in Rodheim-Bieber, Germany, Elli was the youngest of seven children born to Heinrich & Louise Schlaudraff. Elli was predeceased by her husband Stefan (May 30, 2002) and son Roland (February 21, 2000). She is survived by 8 children Marian (Nicole), Karen (Brian Donnelly), Sonia (Fred Lang), John, Danny, Irene (Chris Chalifoux), Rob (Kathy) and Henny (Mike Leonard) and daughter in law Wendy (nee Comish). Elli is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Down a road that’s calm and peaceful, guided by God’s loving hand she has gone upon a journey to a distant brighter land and although our hearts are heavy with sorrow we each bear it helps to bring us comfort knowing she is happier there. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Monette & French Funeral Home on Friday, June 11, 2010 from 12:00 p.m. followed by a service in the “Teck-Hughes” chapel at 2:00 p.m. with The Reverend David Naylor officiating. Elli will be laid to rest in the Kirkland Lake Cemetery. Donations in Elli’s memory may be made to the Kirkland & District Hospital Foundation (P.O. Box 3000 Kirkland Lake, ON.
