When i have an opportunity to speak, I often speak of forestry fish and wildlife. Today one would have to mention Eino if speaking on these topics. Eino has been a long time and loyal member of the Kirkland District fIsh and Game Club. Eino loved the forest. He would often walk for miles in the forest and one could tell, as he told of his journey, that he truly enjoyed and respected his surroundings. To say Eino enjoyed fishing and catching fish would be an understatement. Indeed he has more than one trophy mount. Once when we were fishing he used only a small part of bait to catch these fish. At the time I just threw on a whole bait and hoped for the best. After I had a couple on the stringer he changed to using whole bait. He was not stubborn but gracious and willing to learn. Eino was a keen and successful hunter. He appreciated wildlife. You could tell by the way he treated the various mounts made for himself and others. Conservation is the protection, use, and management of natural resources at optimal sustainable levels for the the benefit of present and future generations. Eino was a true conservationist.
