WHEELDON, Doug William
In loving memory of Mr. Doug Wheeldon of Englehart who passed away at his residence on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at the age of 64, after a lengthy illness with family at his side. Pre-deceased by his parents Dennis & Denise Wheeldon, brothers Fred & Danny, sister Sheila and nieces Christine & Debbie. He is survived by his loving wife Marilyn of 47 years, devoted sons Curtis (Annette), Scott, precious granddaughters Danyel and Alyssa. Brothers Sid (Gabrielle), Rick (Debbie), sisters Margaret, Bev (John Talbot), several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Sadly missed by his mother-in-law Audrey Harkness, brother-in-law Gerald Trahan, Alex Harkness (Sharon), Andy Harkness (Tammy), Sister-in-law Agnes (Mike Lacharity). Doug was the past president of the Englehart Legion Br. 104, member Royal Canadian Legion Forest Branch, 19 years. A true believer in the care of our veterans. He was one of the originators of the Englehart Winter Carnival. Retired from the Ministry of Transportation after 29 years of service. He was also past President of the Kinsmen Club and a member of the Englehart & District Fire Department. Doug loved Lady Evelyn Camp, fishing, hunting and music. At the request of Doug, there will be no visitation or funeral service at this time. Cremation has taken place. Resting place will be in the Englehart Cemetery at a later date.
