I met Brian one summer way back when. I was a kid. He had rented the cottage next to ours on Round Lake. He would run the beach as work outs in preparation for the hockey season. I on occasion would tag along and run the shoreline with him. Not sure he wanted company but he would never complain. I was in awe of this hockey player next door. We all wanted to be hockey stars at one time. We would all play crib after supper on the odd night. It's one of those summers that etched itself into my brain. He and Hana were wonderful to me....to everyone. I always remembered the ethic they lived by. And I know Brian influenced my ethic as time moved on. I never forgot that summer. I have often sat on that same beach remembering the runs......
He's playing hockey again and running the beaches of time. Great guy......
I am so sorry to hear of Brian’s passing. He was a true gentleman and the greatest of teammates—he will be missed greatly!
Rest easy my friend.
My condolences to Brian's family on his passing. Brian used to visit our house, for a second dinner, when he had training camp for the Seals in Oshawa. I'm pretty sure he shared a beer or two with my Dad (Doug). I remember visiting him, Hannah and his children at their home when I was young. Again, my condolences for your loss. Rest in peace Brian.
