PETTMAN, Bernice
Bernice Edna (Kelly) Pettman, formerly of Tillsonburg and Kenabeek, passed away at the age of 97, on January 27, 2018, at the Englehart and District Hospital. Loving mother of Joyce (Edward Ecker) of Tillsonburg; Ruth (Walter Kneibert, 2017) of Summerville, S.C.; Thomas Pettman (Nettie Wiebe) of Creston, B.C.; and Dorothy (Paul Schott) of Kenabeek. Also survived by a sister Clara Tingey (W.W. Tingey, 1971) of Orillia, a sister-in-law Evelyn Kelly (Robert, 2013) of Welland, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Robert Pettman (1981) and a sister Ruth Nethercott (2013) (Stewart Nethercott, 2006). Friends, relatives, and neighbours will be received on Saturday, February 17, 2018, from 11 am to 12 noon, at MAURICE J. VERHOEVE FUNERAL HOMES-BURIAL AND CREMATION SERVICES INC., 262 Broadway Street, Tillsonburg, followed immediately by a complete service to celebrate Bernice’s life at 12 noon in the funeral home chapel, conducted by Rev. Vermell Stevens of the St. John’s Anglican Church, Tillsonburg. In memory of Bernice, donations payable by cheque to “Daffodil Lodge, Sudbury†or “VON Sakura House†can be arranged through the funeral home.
