FISET, Arlene
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Arlene Veronica Fiset on October 12, 2021 at the age of 89 years. Arlene was a caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was born in Elk Lake, Ontario to Mary Arzillie Champagne and John Angus McKay on May 13, 1932. She married the late Peter Fiset in 1956 and they had four children Kim, Peter, Tracey and Randy. Arlene is survived by her children Peter (Shelley) Fiset, Kim Fiset, Tracey Fiset and Randy Fiset her grandchildren Michelle, Emma, Abbey, Charlie, Alexander, Keshia, Kelsie and Joshua, her great grandchildren Jackson and Danika, brother Glen and sisters Sandy, Brenda and Sherri She started her career later in life and worked as saleswoman at Joan’s Dress Shop in Kirkland Lake until she retired. She was also an active member of the Catholic community - as a member of the CWL for most of her adult life and as a volunteer at numerous charities and functions. She was fortunate to spend time later in life travelling with friends, and one of her fondest memories was when she was able to go on a holy pilgrimage and to the Vatican. Arlene was a devoted mother and grandmother and was happiest when she was surrounded by her family. Arlene was honoured and remembered at a family service at the Elk Lake Catholic Church on Saturday, October 16, 2021. Condolences, contributions and memorial candles may be left below..
