Anna Mae Sampson, age 68, died suddenly but peacefully in Sudbury, Ontario on Saturday, January 9, 2016. She was predeceased by her parents, Bill and Rita (née Collins) Gardiner. Anna Mae is survived by her loving husband, Lawrence and dedicated children Micheal (Deb) Sampson of Waterloo, Ontario, Stacey (Kyle) Sayer of Kirkland Lake, Ontario, Tom (Kim) Sampson of Kingston, Ontario. Anna Mae’s life revolved around her family, especially her five grandchildren Randi and Maggie Sayer, Alec Sampson, and Ella and Marley Sampson. She would share stories about her grandchildren to anyone who would listen. She will be missed by her brother Micheal (Linda) Gardiner of Mississauga, Ontario as well as newly found sister Barbara Jarvis of Mississauga, Ontario. Anna Mae was a life-long resident of Kirkland Lake. She spent her early adult years as a home maker, ensuring to guide her children during their formative years to help them become successful adults – which she certainly believed they had. When the kids were off to school, she worked at a couple of local businesses including the Royal Bank, Credit Union, and most recently Kirkland Pharmacy, where she enjoyed the comradery of co-workers and seeing the regulars on a daily basis. Anna Mae was blessed with a loving family and many good friends who she enjoyed sharing a cup of tea and chat at the kitchen table. Anna Mae looked forward to the weekly Friday night dinner with the gang and will be sorely missed by everyone who knew her. The family will welcome friends at the FRENCH FAMILY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE (111 Burnside Dr., Kirkland Lake, ON.) for visitation on Tuesday, January 12th, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. & Wednesday, January 13th, 2016 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Funeral service will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. with Father Mitch Sliwa. Anna Mae, I will miss you now and forever. You were a sister I could always count on to be there for me and even when we were kids, you looked after me, protected me and most importantly loved me with all your heart. Although we did not see each other a lot over the years once I left KL, I always thought of you and loved you very much. The only sister I had and would not change that for anything in the world. Cannot be there for the funeral and celebration of life as my health is not good right now but my heart, my thoughts and my prayers will be there for you and Lawrence, Stacey, Michael, Tommy and all of your grandchildren. All my love, your brother, Jackie.
