Aline Lucienne Marie Zubernik (Gelinas), 80, passed away peacefully on November 29th, 2024, in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico while enjoying a dream vacation with her daughter and son-in law. She was born on April 2, 1944, in Holtyre, Ontario to Yvonne Rheault and Armand Gelinas. She was a long-time resident of Kirkland Lake. She was married to Clifford Zubernick on December 15, 1979, in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. She enjoyed spending time with her beloved dog, Harry, and could often been seen at the BINGO hall or venturing around town in her scooter. She had a great sense of humour and was always smiling. She was predeceased by her parents (Yvonne and Armand Gelinas), her siblings (Fernande and Cecile) and her son (Herbert Jr. Boudreau). Left to mourn are her daughters, Nancy Boudreau, Belinda Downey (Stanley), her grandchildren, Shawn Lachapelle (Ali), Melissa Lee (Mike) and her 6 great-grandchildren (Kohen, Avah, Makenzee, Kael, Teo, Emre). As per her last wishes, cremation has taken place. The burial will take place in Holtyre in the Spring.
Shocked to see your Mom had passed away in Mexico, I remember you two in the Lobby @ the KDH just before leaving, and she was so excited to go...hope she got a few days of her wish. So sorry for your Mom and for Cliff also.
