I go back many years with Jr., We were born within days of each other in May 1948 in the old K L Hospital, and I lived up the laneway from their Poplar St address. Spent many a day with him over at Queen E. & in later years when we were hitting our teens, he was a good source of his dad’s home made wine! We will miss his smile and great attitude. May he rest in peace.

He was always everyone’s friend, it didn’t matter who you were, he just liked everybody! I remember sometimes we would make arrangements to just hang out together but that didn’t last long as it seemed that wherever we went the girls would flock around him. Talk about a chick magnet! We would see each other off and on over the years and Junior would say “Jeeze you’re looking old” and then we would laugh and have a chat about our St.Jerome days. It seems when you are kids growing up together you meet people that you make special ties with and Junior was one of those people! We met up at Carl Duff’s funeral and both felt that we had lost a little piece of our life when Carl passed away. That is just the way I feel right now. R.I.P. My friend! Phil

He almost put me through the boards during that game but we went on to be very good friends and there have been many good times since then. Uncle June was an amazing soul, through out my struggles he always lifted me up, never judged nor doubted me or my ability to change my ways. I don’t think my parents realized how much our family would grow when they bought our property on crystal lake, the neighbours became family, a support system that helped my family through struggles & hardships. He was an amazing soul & will be missed dearly.
