DYER, William “Roger” – Passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at the Kirkland & District Hospital. Roger was predeceased by his parents Glena and Frederick Dyer; and his brother Vernon James Dyer. He is survived by: his sister Doreen (George) Rocks; nephew Stephen (Roxanna); niece, Mandy Rocks (Peter Bleyer), long time friend Claire Morrissette; and extended family. Roger served honourably in the Canadian Air Force from 1962 till 1987. After leaving the military he drove a bus for the next 20 years. Roger was a faithful member of Doric Lodge 623, A.F. & A.M. for 24 years; he was the Worshipful Master of the lodge in 1995-1996 and served as Temiskaming District Secretary in 1997-98. Roger’s dedication allowed him to achieve 32° member of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry. Roger will be interred in the family plot at the Kirkland Lake Cemetery in the spring of 2013. Donations in Roger’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario are appreciated by the family.Offer Condolence for the family of William Dyer

Doreen,George and all the family-our sympathy to you on the passing of Roger. The Dyers and my family lived in the same neighbourhood and Roger and I grew up as kids together through highschool. I always enjoyed talking to him when he returned to KL and reminiscing about our Third st. days!A good guy!– Brian and Gale
