Clayton and Barb made their lives in Kirkland Lake where they raised their family. Clayton was the owner of McLaughlin Cartage, later City Movers for many years. He was a long time member of the Kiwanis Club, helping local charities and events. Clayton and Barb enjoyed years at their cottage on Labyrinth Lake fishing and gardening; hunting at the family camp in Matachewan and hosting many large family gatherings at their home. After being briefly separated due to the pandemic, Clayton joined Barb at Teck Pioneer Residence last July. They were able to spend every day together and could always be found sitting side by side holding hands. True love reunited!
The family wish to thank the staff of Blanche River Health – Kirkland Lake Site and Temiskaming Hospital for their kindness and compassion through this difficult time. A special thank you to the staff of Teck Pioneer Residence for the care and love shown to dad. You were his extended family this past year.
Cremation has taken place, service to be held at a later date. Donations to Teck Pioneer Residence in Clayton’s memory would be greatly appreciated.
