Just wanted to thank everyone for the kind words and love to my brother and our family. Bill …. “Butch” is at peace now, free of pain but I know from our conversations while he was with us, he cherished every one of your friendships. Thanks again …….. Rick Barker

Sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. It seems like just yesterday when I first met Bill and Joyce and their two precious daughters. I had many years of adventure and friendship. I’m sure he’s up there setting in camp by the fire with a smile on his face waiting for all of us to show up.

My Condolence”s to his lovely wife Joyce Barker and his daughters Sherry Barker, Kim Bourgeois (Nelson) who he loved very much. I got to know Bill when he was a Police officer with the O.P.P. out of Kirkland Lake Detachment. He was a good Police Officer especially for us teens back then he really knew how to get through to the younger crowd. He was a good and understanding person to me and many more. Then worked with him at the mine for a bit. Loss touch with him for awhile then i was told that Bill and Joyce had purchased the Fork Lake Resort. So then we got to spend some more time together. Bill you were a very decent and helpful friend in my life. You will always be remembered. You helped me out in my younger years and I will always appreciate you for that. R.I.P. my friend and mentor…
