Owens, Vera (née Brookes) – It is with sadness that we announce her peaceful passing at the Teck-Pioneer Residence on Sunday, February 28, 2010. Vera was born on September 8, 1923 to the late Robert and Emma Brookes. Vera is predeceased by her sons Kevin (Yogi) & Robert Owens as well as her sister Joyce Owens. She will be deeply missed by her husband Thomas Owens and by her children Mike (Rachelle), Phil (Celyne), Jennifer (Doug), Tommy (Sally), Diane (Al) and Katie (Andy) ; cherished grandchildren; Kevin, Steven, Timothy, Casey, Jamie, Jessica, Brooke, Morgan,Craig, Andrew, Jennifer and Ryan as well as 3 great grandchildren Emma, Lea-Rose and Owen. Family will welcome friends at the MONETTE & FRENCH FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday, March 3, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. from the “Teck-Hughes” Chapel of the funeral home with Reverend David Naylor officiating. Donations in Vera’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society (670 Airport Road, Unit 206, Timmins ON, – P4P 1J2)Offer Condolence for the family of Vera Owens
