Renee, I was shocked to hear about Tod’s death. You have been together for as long as I remember. And for Shelby his entire life. I cannot imagine your sense of loss. When I was in KL. in November I saw Tod’s focus and love as he played with his grand children. I was touched. My thoughts are with you and Shelby and his family. Louise

To Renée, Shelby, Amanda, Wayne, Rick, and families, we send our most sincere condolences. Shelby, when Brandon died and I went to your house, you met me at the door and I took you into my arms to hug you. Through your tears you said, “I don’t want him to be cold…” He isn’t cold anymore and neither is your dad. They are in each other’s arms. With love, Laurie Bassett and Richard Kallio

wendy Niemi, March 1, 2021

Tod was probably my earliest friend as we grew up a few doors apart on Tower Street. He lived next door to my Nonna and eventually owned her house. We had a lot of fun as kids exploring Eagle Rock, climbing trees (I remember him breaking his arm falling out of a tree in my yard while attempting an acrobatic move), and hanging with the Tower/First Street gang. We walked to school together every day (as I recall uphill both ways through 3 feet of snow into a headwind at -30). We once found a $10 bill in the snow in front of the high school on the way to Holy Name, and enjoyed spending it on candy at Greenaways store on the way home. I’ll remember those days forever. Farewell Tod

It was sad t hear of Todd’s passing….I didnt know him too well but whenever I saw him he had a big smile and ready to crack a joke. I remember the first time we met….on a junket to Raven Mountain to ski on a Saturday morning bus ride…..one of us spilled hot chocolate all over his new coat….didnt seem to phase him too much. His laugh and smile will always be remembered….Always liked him…..such sad news! And so sad what happened to his and Renee’s son…..man we all felt sick about that. Sending hugs and heart felt sympathy to Renee and the rest of the family…..

Casey Robazza, March 1, 2021
