Theode Blain Théode Blain died March 24, 2009, at the Englehart and District Hospital at the age of 90. Mr. Blain was born in St-Aimé, Quebec, June 23, 1918 to Louisa and Ovila Blain. He moved to the area in 1923 at the age of five and was educated in Belle Vallée. Mr. Blain married Irène Godmaire June 23, 1956 at Uno Park. He was a farmer at heart, proud of his hard work and his many crop and milk quality awards. Mr. Blain will be fondly remembered for his kindness, generosity, extensive knowledge of trades and health as well as his constant smile. He was a member of the Paroisse Sacré Coeur Church and resided in Hudson Township. Mr. Blain was predeceased by his parents and his sisters Yvonne (Edward) Laframboise and Thérèse (Paul Emile) Béland. He is survived by his wife Irène Blain and their children Céline Beaudry (Claude Dupuis), Linda (Paul) Maurice, Ronald Blain (Brenda Bradley) and Carole Blain (Daniel Rivest) as well as 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn are his brothers and sisters Valmire Blain, Herman (Rita) Blain, Valeda (Leo) Gervais, Béatrice (Archie) Willard, Edouard (Lea) Blain, Aurèle Blain and Rachel (Paul) Renaud. Funeral Mass for Mr. Blain was held Saturday, March 28 at Paroisse Sacré Coeur Church with Father Richard Ngoy officiating. A spring interment is planned at the New Liskeard Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Michel Beaudry, Rhéal Béland, Claude Dupuis, Luc Maurice, Etienne Rivard and Francis Rivest. Relatives and friends came from Elliot Lake, Montreal, North Bay, Sudbury, Notre Dame du Nord, Ottawa, Kirkland Lake, Deep River and Nédelec. The family wishes to express their appreciation for the care and kindness shown by the nursing staff at the Englehart and District Hospital. They also wish to thank the many friends and family members for the food, refreshments, flowers and donations. They greatly appreciate all the comfort and kindness.
