It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of Mrs. Thelma Hazel Moen on Friday, May 28, 2010 in the Kirkland & District Hospital at the age of 87. She was predeceased by her husband Lester Moen, sisters Marlene Milligan, Doreen Milligan, Doris Leonhard, Audrey Laing, Bernice Dunlavey and brother Maurice Milligan. Thelma will be sadly missed by her children Lester "Randy" (Susan) Moen of Barrie and Deborah (David) Ball of Mattawa. She also leaves to mourn her grandchildren Randa (Ian Rogers) Ball, David (Brenda) Ball and Brennan Moen as well as four great-grandchildren Bryce, Kyle, Simon and Avery. Thelma will also be missed by her siblings Laura (Grant) Boghosian, Glen (Norma) Milligan and sister-in-law Elda Milligan. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Monette & French Funeral Home on Friday June 11, 2010 from 9:30 a.m. followed by a memorial service in the "Teck Hughes Chapel" of the Monette & French Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. with The Reverend David Naylor officiating. Thelma will be laid to rest in the Kirkland Lake Cemetery. Donations in Thelma’s memory may be made to The Kidney Foundation (11357 Hwy. 101 East Connaught, ON.
