Tamara Cholewa Peddie, age 90, of Kirkland Lake, ON passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 19th, 2017 with her loving family by her side.Born December 15th, 1926 in the Ukraine she immigrated to Canada and settled in Kirkland Lake in 1957. Wife of the late Carl Peddie, Tamara is survived by her three children Pauline Wnuk, Robert Cholewa and Michael Cholewa, her grandchildren Natalie (Daryl) Brissette, Melissa (Allan) Roach, Dylan Wnuk, Paul(Laryssa) Cholewa, Tymarah(John) Cholewa, Matthew and Jenna Cholewa, and her five great-grandchildren Zenek, Jedrek, Emilia, Timber & Beckett. Tamara was famous for her cabbage rolls and perogies, and will be remembered by her loving smile and generosity.Our heartfelt thanks to all the staff at Teck Pioneer Residence who went above and beyond with exceptional care and compassion not only for Tamara but for her family as well. So very sorry for your loss. I first met your mom at church, Pauline was a good friend of my sister. Later on I got to know this wonderful lady while working at Pollock Lumber. Always a beautiful smile and so friendly. She was a hard worker and a great mom! My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time.

Dearest Pauline,Bobby, Mickey and families, I was so sad to hear about your mom. I just loved her….she always made me feel so special when I saw her…..and she even knew my name for the most part…..my mom gets us girls all mixed up lol! And her famous…” YOU are SO BEAUTIFUL!!!….Always made me beam….but for me SHE was SO BEAUTIFUL…..always dressed to the nines everyday even when she was washing the sidewalk with the hose!!! She lived thru many difficult times but stepped out of her house with a big smile on her face….incredibly strong resilient and the most kindest. Pauline, you were an amazing caregiver to her and I hope you can now get some much deserved Pauline time. love to all and I’ll miss her Frances

So sorry to here about your Mother, Pauline, Bobby and Mike Tamara was a very special neighbour to all the families on Station Rd. We kept her busy with approx. 30 kids within 5 houses. Always a smile and “your beautiful”. Happy I got to see her this spring.

We where blessed to have Tamara and family Pauline, Bobby and Mike as neighbour’s next door on 2 Station Road. A lot of great memories’ . As kids Tamara would wax the floor and then she would pull us on a blanket to shine them. Tamara always had that smile, and was a great cook. I can vouch for that. From all the D’Andrea’s , Tamara and family was loved by us and was big part of our Family growing up. We will miss her. Our condolences to all the Family Lots of Love The D’Andrea’s
