In loving memory of Stewart McGonigal Sr. who passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Brampton Civic Hospital. He was the beloved and devoted father to his daughter Eloise and his son Stewart Jr and daughter in law Emilie Mangolt. He had much love for his grandchildren; Dylan, Aja, Erik and Sarah. He survived by his siblings Janet, Dianne, Patty and Frank. He pre-deceased by his brothers Hugh and John McGonigal and his parents Hugh and Maude McGonigal. Fondly remembered by Louise, Lynn, many nieces, nephews and extended family. As a young man, he moved his family to Toronto where he began his career in sales with Proctor and Gamble. He went on to create and manage the McGonigal Sales Company until retirement – a respected and successful businessman and employer. Stewart was proud of his home town of Kirkland Lake, Ontario. Was active, athletic, loved to play hockey and did so into later life. He spent much time with and travelled the world with his lifelong friends as a member of the XKL Oldtimers Hockey Team. All are welcome to attend his Visitation on Thursday, March 14, 2 – 5 pm at Scott Funeral Home in Brampton. A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date.Offer Condolence for the family of Stewart McGonigal Sr.

I had the pleasure of knowing Stewie for many years growing up here in Kirkland Lake. Through playing hockey and being co-workers at Seymours Mens Wear we developed a good friendship. He was a great guy to be around. He will be sadly missed by all that knew.Condolences to all the family.
