In loving memory of Mrs. Rosemary Smith, nee Bobbie (Rocky) who passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Temiskaming Hospital, New Liskeard, On, Thursday, October 5th, 2017 at the age of 84 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Pre-deceased by her husband Goldwin E. Smith (Goldie), parents William J. Bobbie and Mary J. Bobbie (nee Levandoski) sibling Lenard Bobbie, brothers-in-law Ken Smith, Carl Dennis, Ken Rosamond, and Morris Mldoznic, nephews Brad and Mike. She is survived by 5 sons Rick (Marlene) of Englehart, On, Brian (Belle) Vancouver, B.C., Brent (Shelley) of Kingston, On, Larry (Ruth) of Charlton, On and Mark (Caralee) of North Bay, On, grandchildren Julia, Vincent, Shane, Shelley, Joshua, Dylan, Sarah, Harley, Whitney, Larry, Hope, Corrin, Alex and several great grandchildren, siblings Dorothy, Marian, Lillian, Bill (Sharen), sisters-in-law Elaine (wife of Lenard), Elizabeth (wife of Ken Smith) and many nieces and nephews. Rose`s family meant the world to her, “the love for my sons and their wives and my grandchildren and the joy that they gave me, cannot be described in so many wordsâ€. She loved a good time with family or friends and had a passion for the outdoors, gardening, curling, hockey and swimming. Her favorite pastime was fishing for pickerel and picking wild blueberries. She was known for her positive attitude, hospitality, and wonderful sense of humour. No person ever left hungry or thirsty. A very special thank you goes out to all the doctors and staff who helped care for her and to the many friends who kept a watchful eye over her during the years. It made her living at Wendigo Lake the most amazing adventure. In keeping with Rose`s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place.
