CAMERON, Rose

1948 - 2025

With heavy hearts, we share the unexpected passing of our beloved mother, ROSE CAMERON, at the age of 76. She left us on February 20th, 2025, surrounded by her loving daughters at Blanche River Health – Kirkland Lake Site.

Funeral service will be held at Timiskaming Funeral Cooperative Inc. - Kirkland Lake on June 21, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Janice Wilkinson of Tower Street Baptist officiating.

Rose was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia to Rose Seward (MacDonald) and Wilfred Seward on May 7, 1948. Rose, fondly known as Rosie, dedicated her life to raising her children as a homemaker before taking on a role at The Northern Daily News. She also devoted several years to volunteering with the Canadian Mental Health Association. Rose cherished spending time with her grandchildren, brought joy to others with her humor, and delighted in solving crossword puzzles. Known for her love of animals, good nature, and friendly disposition, Rose was a beloved figure in Kirkland Lake, brightening the lives of many. The cherished memories we hold of her are numerous. Her grandchildren, who were the light of her life, shared an extraordinary bond with her. She is deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by many.

Rose is survived and will be greatly missed by her Children, Roger Villeneuve (Andrea), Cindy Villeneuve, Mark Cameron and Lee Ann Cameron. the family

Our deepest condolences to Rose’s family. We were kids (cousins) together back in Glace Bay. As kids we had loads of fun trading comics, picking berries, making our way to each others homes through the back woods…such freedom today’s kids never know. Rest in the Peace of Christ, Rose.
