Ronald Walter Bowers After a five-month battle with cancer, Ronald Walter Bowers of New Liskeard died at the Hospice of Windsor on November 7, 2010. He was born in New Liskeard on January 21, 1931, to Frederick Charles Bowers and Dorothy Bowers. Educated at New Liskeard Secondary School and the Ontario Agricultural College Dairy School in Guelph, Mr. Bowers married Freda Goddard in New Liskeard on October 11, 1958. Mr. Bowers worked as a dairyman and manager at Eplett's Dairies and was a dairy inspector for the provincial government during the 1960s. Mr. Bowers was an avid skier as a child. He was also an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He was also a member of St. Paul's United Church and was a Mason. Mr. Bowers was predeceased by his wife in May of 2010, by his parents, and sisters Ruby Israel and Shirley Fowler. He is survived by his son Peter Bowers, daughter-in-law Jennifer Bowers, grandson Harrison Bowers and several close cousins, nieces and nephews.
